Ablation NovaSure Procedure and Results

Are you sick and tired of heavy irregular bleeding but are afraid of a hysterectomy? Here is the solution!
Endometrial ablation is an office procedure performed to treat abnormal menstrual bleeding. A special instrument called a hysteroscope is passed through the cervix into the uterus to evaluate the lining of the uterus. Occasionally the cervix needs to be dilated or widened to accommodate the hysteroscope. Local anesthesia may be used to numb the cervix during this procedure. A special catheter is then passed into the uterine cavity and energy is delivered to the lining of the uterus that cauterizes or burns the lining. The cauterized lining will slough off in the form of a discharge over the next several weeks. After this a woman can look forward to very light spotting during her expected menses, or she may not have any more bleeding at all for years to come. The procedure typically takes less than 15 minutes and patients can return to regular activities the same day. Endometrial ablation is successful in stopping irregular bleeding in about 85% of women, thus preventing the need for a hysterectomy.

The results: bleeding issues cured in less than 15 minutes!
